West Hollywood, California
A new Hat and Shoes for a night of Blues: reinventing a West Hollywood hotel for the founders of House of Blues.
Designs for a prototypical House of Blues Hotel, commissioned by Isaac Tigrett . The ‘hat’ added to the existing
mid-century Sunset Boulevard structure in West Hollywood, California transforms the building’s identity
from afar. The ‘shoes’ give it a new drive-by personality. The curvy ‘hat and shoes’ house entertainment components
for both guests and Los Angeles locals.
The new ‘hat and shoes’ housed a blues club, a casual restaurant, a fine dining restaurant, three retail spaces,
exterior dining, a subterranean dance club, meeting rooms, poolside dining and drinking with a VIP area.
Guest room renovation designs were also prepared by JMA.
