Limited Edition East Table, originally designed for the East Hotel in Hamburg, Germany.
Made in Chicago, 2004. Hand carved in maple, cast in recycled magnesium-aluminum alloy , hand polished and then murdered out with acid.
In German “guss” (pronounced “goose”) means “cast”. The Three Legged Goose Table was designed for a foundry Jordan Mozer and Associates, Limited converted into the East Hotel in Hamburg, Germany.
This table is in the permanent collection of the Department of Architecture and Design at the Art Institute of Chicago and was featured there in the 2007 Young Chicago Exhibition curated by Joseph Rosa.
