Bronze Blossoms

THE STORY

Cast bronze apple blossoms created for a hotel on 57th Street between Park Avenue and Lexington in New York. The building was developed as an upscale women’s residence by a fashion designer named “Blum” in the Roaring Twenties. JMA renovated the building as a hotel for the “Apple” company. The apple blossom (“Blum” + “Apple”) became a recurring motif.

Made in Chicago for the Renaissance Hotel 57. Hand-carved maple, cast in recycled red bronze, burnished and hand-patinaed.
