Entwined Hearts on Wood

The Entwined Heart sculptures were first explored for sets for the Rolling Stones. A painting was made for JMA’s Herzblut (“heart-blood” or passion) project in Hamburg, Germany, and translated into sculpture soon after.

PROCESS + MATERIALS

Hand carved in maple, cast in recycled aluminum-magnesium alloy and hand-polished. Some have been bathed in elixirs and flames for a patina. The base is hand carved from reclaimed red African Ironwood. Made in Chicago.
