Nick’s Chunky Drink Stand
When we started reading on our mobile devices, sitting in lounge chairs, we needed a place to put our drinks, so we hand-carved some Ironwood and made Nick’s Chunky Drink Stands.
PROCESS + MATERIALS
The bases were originally created for Nick Nicholas, a bow-legged football player, with steak restaurants. They were hand-carved in maple, cast in recycled magnesium-aluminum alloy, then burnished or brushed.
Tops: Hand-carved solid reclaimed Red African Ironwood.
