Mozer first explored anthropomorphic “X” forms in Rock Opera sets for Mick Jagger and sculpted a variety of forms for the JMA Hotel design commissioned by Bill Marriott overlooking the “x” of Times Square. For their twentieth anniversary, Mozer awarded Karen with a relationship trophy, portraits of the couple, “x” being the roman numeral for ten. The sculpture resonated with other couples and generated additional studies.
PROCESS + MATERIALS
Made in Chicago. Hand-carved maple and cast in recycled magnesium-aluminum alloy and hand-polished with acid to blacken. Base of hand-carved red African Ironwood.
