Infusing a cool mid-century lakefront building with architectural portrait of its inhabitants
The gut renovation and additions to a 5,500 square foot mid-century residence overlooking Lake Michigan, just north of Chicago. The architecture and design elements express ideas about the family of four and the extraordinary site exchanged during the iterative design process. Every component was made from scratch for the project, which was completed in the mid 90’s.
