The PortHouse Chair was originally created for a steakhouse at the Beau Rivage Resort Hotel in Biloxi, Mississippi, which drowned in Hurricane Katrina. This prototype was created in 2006 for a dining room called Chop Suey overlooking the north end of Times Square in a hotel designed by JMA, owned and operated by Bill Marriott.
