JMA renovated a hotel on 57th street between Park Avenue and Lexington. The building was originally built by a fashion designer, Mr. Blum, as a progressive women’s residence to attract artists, intellectuals, and executives interested in an alternative to traditional women’s boarding houses in the flapper / Prohibition era. The building was built with natural materials that celebrated hand-made details such as wrought iron and hand-made bricks. To evoke a consistency with the building, the legs of this table were each carved differently.
PROCESS + MATERIALS
